Tax Certificate Sale Schedule

April 27, 2026 2025 Delinquent tax list available for viewing (only) on the Tax Collectors' website at http://www.leontaxcollector.net/download.html

May 1, 2026*       Tax sale registration and bidding opens.  Bidders can review the list of properties and begin to submit bids on the tax sale site located at:

https://Leontaxsale.wfbsusa.com/default.aspx

May 07, 2026       First publication of 2025 delinquent taxes appear in the Tallahassee Advertiser (Various newspaper racks throughout the city).

May 14, 2026 Second publication of 2025 delinquent taxes appear in the Tallahassee Advertiser.

May 21, 2026 Third and final publication of 2025 delinquent taxes appear in the Tallahassee Advertiser.

May 29, 2026       The submission of mass bid files must be completed by 5:00 p.m. EST.

June 1, 2026 Lots 1 through 4 are awarded every two hours beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST.

* Entry of bids began 5/1/2026

          Lot 1 closes at 9:00 a.m.

Lot 2 closes at 11:00 a.m.

Lot 3 closes at 1:00 p.m.

Lot 4 closes at 3:00 p.m.

June 1, 2026 Notification of balance due sent to bidders.

June 3, 2026 Balance accepted by ACH Payment (U. S. funds only) must be submitted/authorized by 5:00 p.m. EST or certificates will be forfeited and bid cancelled.

June 8, 2026        2025 Tax Sale is Balanced and Certificates are issued.

June 26, 2026      Refunds for overpayment from tax sale will be mailed via check.
